Can I have Pets in ISH?
Yes of course you can have pets in I'm Stuck Here.com. For most of you it will be simple. Want a pet? Look around your house. Do you see any small animals? Chances are they will make great pets. They may already have collars and name tags. If you see one with a collar & tag you can catch it and read it's name on the tag. Now you're a certified first level Beastmaster with a real live creature of your own.

Naming Your Pet
Your new pet will be easiest to train if you call it by the name on the collar, but you don't have to. You can pick any name you want. As with all names at I'm Stuck Here.com, we don't make you choose some name no one else has thought of. You can name your pet whatever you'd like. If other players have pets with the same name in the same place, tough.

Caring for your Pet
This is another area where your parents will come in handy. They are likely full of instructions for the proper care and feeding of your new pets. You may not have paid much attention to them before (the instructions we mean, not your parents of course), but trust us that they are essential to the healthy and happy existence of your pets. Unlike the pets you're used to in many online games, your I'm Stuck Here.com pets will not just tell you when they're unhappy but they will reward you with real affection when they're happy--unless you choose to collect something like spiders or goldfish.

Restoring Your Pet's Energy
All pets need food. Lower level pets (usually the small ones that just moved to your house recently) need feeding more often. How often depends on the specific type of pet. Small pets will also tire more easily and may need frequent naps before you can play with them some more. But even higher level pets do get tired and need to rest at night. Their full hit points are restored after 8 hours in their pet bed or soft surface.

No Animals? Making a Pet
If you looked around your house and didn't find any pets, don't despair. There are lots of ways to make a pet. The most traditional way is to nag your parents into getting you one. If you are a parent you're probably old enough to get your own. If you meet resistance from your parents, then another tried and true technique is capturing a small creature from your yard. Turtles and lizards are safest, but be sure to check with your parents before bringing them in the house or blaming us.
If you live in a place where real animals are out of the question, then feel free to pick a stuffed animal or other toy as your pet. It too probably already has a name, although your choice of name will have much less effect on its training than with a live pet.

Training your Pet
Which skills your pet has will depend a great deal on your specific pet. If you have a pet that wags its tail frequently it is likely that you can throw a ball and have it bring it back. Your pet is probably a puppy, or at least a dog. If you throw your ball and your pet looks at you like you are nuts then your pet is most likely a cat. It's a cinch to teach it to swipe at small moving objects, especially valuable breakable ones.
If your pet is very small and furry, try teaching it to navigate a maze. But be careful when introducing your pet to the pets of other players as they may mistake your pet for a small moving object.

Making your Pet part of the Game
Depending on the ISH Scenario you've chosen, your pet can play an important role. Pets with collars can become Princesses with valuable jewelry necklaces. Or your pet can be a large monster capable of stomping all over your model castle or house.
